Hello! I’m Steph – welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.

If you’ve landed on this page, you’re probably curious to know a little more about me. Movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I trained as a dancer from a young age, first at The Royal Ballet School and later at Central School of Ballet. While an injury closed the door on a professional dance career, life opened another – I fell in love with a musician and my path shifted in the most unexpected and beautiful way.

By the age of 22, I’d had my first daughter, Chloe and married my husband Andy. Our second daughter, Joni, came along when I was 29. In my twenties, I spent a lot of time in New York and Los Angeles where I fell head over heels for the energy and community of the boutique fitness scene. It gave me a way to reconnect with my body post-dance and post-babies – and I tried everything: dance cardio, yoga, barre, rebounding, spin, pilates… you name it. I was a total studio-hopper and honestly, I still would be if I could!

In 2018, I opened my own fitness studio in London called POPfit. It was an incredible experience but the pandemic shifted everything. What followed was a challenging but transformative period. My family and I moved to the Cotswolds – a huge, brave leap into a slower-paced, countryside life.

That move gave me space to face something I had been navigating quietly for years – my struggles with anxiety, panic attacks and depression. At times, it’s felt overwhelming but it’s also deepened my connection to why I move. Movement has been and continues to be, my medicine. It helps me breathe. It brings me back into my body. It grounds me, soothes me and strengthens me.

My approach to fitness has evolved into something much more holistic. It's not about pushing through pain or chasing perfection — it’s about tuning in, connecting and practicing. More breath. More presence. More compassion for ourselves.

And so the SB Movement Method was born — SB standing for Stephie Burrows (or as some lovingly call it, Sexy Bum)! This isn’t just another fitness brand, it’s a way of moving and living that brings together everything I’ve learned from dance, fitness, motherhood, healing and simply being human.

Whether you’re here to reconnect with your body, care for your mind, release some energy or just feel good — welcome. You don’t need to be “fit” or “flexible” or have it all together. You just need to show up as you are. I’m so happy you’ve found your way here.
